The 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Club at UVU is dedicated to fostering
innovation, skill development, and collaboration while making a tangible impact on both
campus and the broader community. Our mission centers around:
• Community Service – Utilizing 3D printing to create meaningful solutions, from
assistive devices to sustainability-focused projects.
• Networking & Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Partnering with clubs such as the
Engineering Club, Drama Club, Auto Body Club, and others to manufacture props,
prototypes, and custom parts for their projects, fostering cross-disciplinary
teamwork.
• Skill Development – Providing hands-on experience in design, material science,
and additive manufacturing, ensuring members gain technical expertise applicable
to industry roles.
• Operational Cost Reduction – Coordinating with UVU facility management to
produce everyday items needed around campus, demonstrating practical
applications of 3D printing in cost-effective solutions.
• Entrepreneurial Growth – Working with the UVU store to sell 3D-printed goods,
creating revenue streams that support club activities and sustainability initiatives.
• Sustainability & Recycling – Implementing existing methods of recycling plastics
and other materials for reuse in additive manufacturing, reducing waste, and
promoting environmentally conscious production techniques.
By combining innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, the club will serve as a hub for
students eager to explore the future of additive manufacturing while contributing
meaningfully to the university and beyond.

ASL Club at UVU believes in providing a safe place for all to come and use American Sign Language. As a club we want to help students learn more about ASL/Deaf Culture in a fun and educational environment. Ideally, the club will be a mini-community and support system to a variety of those who are newly learning, developing advanced skills, wanting to teach and share their culture, serve, and make lasting relationships. ASL Club's purpose is to help students gain a greater knowledge of ASL and Deaf Culture, increase their receptive and expressive skills, build friendships, and have a lot of fun in the process. The leadership shall be volunteer-based. A person can only hold each position for one year (ex. One student can be in leadership positions throughout all four years if they are willing, one year secretary, one year vice president, one year photographer, one year president). We as a leadership committee will work together to plan activities students would like to attend throughout the entire school year.
