The 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Club at UVU is dedicated to fostering

• Community Service – Utilizing 3D printing to create meaningful solutions, from
assistive devices to sustainability-focused projects.
• Networking & Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Partnering with clubs such as the
Engineering Club, Drama Club, Auto Body Club, and others to manufacture props,
prototypes, and custom parts for their projects, fostering cross-disciplinary
teamwork.
• Skill Development – Providing hands-on experience in design, material science,
and additive manufacturing, ensuring members gain technical expertise applicable
to industry roles.
• Operational Cost Reduction – Coordinating with UVU facility management to
produce everyday items needed around campus, demonstrating practical
applications of 3D printing in cost-effective solutions.
• Entrepreneurial Growth – Working with the UVU store to sell 3D-printed goods,
creating revenue streams that support club activities and sustainability initiatives.
• Sustainability & Recycling – Implementing existing methods of recycling plastics
and other materials for reuse in additive manufacturing, reducing waste, and
promoting environmentally conscious production techniques.

ASL Club at UVU believes in providing a safe place for all to come and use American Sign Language. As a club we want to help students learn more about ASL/Deaf Culture in a fun and educational environment. Ideally, the club will be a mini-community and support system to a variety of those who are newly learning, developing advanced skills, wanting to teach and share their culture, serve, and make lasting relationships. ASL Club's purpose is to help students gain a greater knowledge of ASL and Deaf Culture, increase their receptive and expressive skills, build friendships, and have a lot of fun in the process. The leadership shall be volunteer-based. A person can only hold each position for one year (ex. One student can be in leadership positions throughout all four years if they are willing, one year secretary, one year vice president, one year photographer, one year president). We as a leadership committee will work together to plan activities students would like to attend throughout the entire school year.

ASL Club at UVU believes in providing a safe place for all to come and use American Sign Language. As a club we want to help students learn more about ASL/Deaf Culture in a fun and educational environment. Ideally, the club will be a mini-community and support system to a variety of those who are newly learning, developing advanced skills, wanting to teach and share their culture, serve, and make lasting relationships. ASL Club's purpose is to help students gain a greater knowledge of ASL and Deaf Culture, increase their receptive and expressive skills, build friendships, and have a lot of fun in the process. The leadership shall be volunteer-based. A person can only hold each position for one year (ex. One student can be in leadership positions throughout all four years if they are willing, one year secretary, one year vice president, one year photographer, one year president). We as a leadership committee will work together to plan activities students would like to attend throughout the entire school year.

The overarching mission of the Hip Hop Club or otherwise (to be) known as ILLEST (Ideas Liberate Lyrical Expression of Self and Technique), can be illustrated in four core principles:

1. Hip Hop is an expressive, multifaceted art form that welcomes individuals of all cultures, creeds, and backgrounds.

2. Breaking, MC-ing, DJ-ing, Graffiti, and History are the foundational pillars of Hip Hop and street styles that are related thereunto.

3. Street styles, like any other form of dance, require individuals to work on, and improve their art.

4. UVU's ILLEST is community driven; its priorities are giving back, providing a free space for individuals who want to learn Street Styles of dance, and contributing to charitable causes.

We want members of our club to learn and apply these principles throughout their time with us in hopes that they may continue to enjoy Hip Hop/Street Styles after graduation.

Members will receive (weekly) training in several street styles not to exclude: Popping/Animation, Breaking, Urban Dance, Tricking, New Jack, and various other Freestyle Concepts.

Members will have the chance to attend battles within the local hip-hop scene (Salt Lake, Provo, etc.)

Members will be given various performance opportunities where they will execute techniques, choreography, and moves taught during club sessions.

On occasion, members will be given the option of attending workshops, seminars, and other specialty training events offered by select guest choreographers and dancers.

Members will be given opportunities to serve their community by participating in dance-related charity events such as fundraisers, giveaways, community classes, etc.

Members (at some point in time, when funds are available) will have the opportunity to purchase various “ILLEST UVU Hip Hop” memorabilia/swag not to exclude T-shirts, car stickers, etc. All proceeds will help fund events, battles, or performances.
