Cassie Bingham has a bachelor’s degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and International Development, as well as a master’s degree in Sociology. Her career in the field of social impact started on the development team of a Salt Lake City nonprofit serving Hispanic/Latin immigrants, and went on to include leading a multi-pronged disaster relief initiative at Moria Refugee Camp in Greece, and innovating as a social entrepreneur in Uganda while working with an all-women artisan collective and with ethical tourism initiatives. Cassie now works as a program director at the UVU Center for Social Impact where she teaches social impact strategy using methodologies like systems thinking and equity-centered design. She oversees the Center for Social Impact’s student Impact Fellows and Impact Associates, mentors UVU’s Oxford Map the System student research teams, and teaches Social Impact Seminar. She also enjoys engaging in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and sustainability impact consulting with a wide spectrum of clients from both the private sector and academia.
